Join in our family’s mission!

Dear Family and Friends,

Six years ago, the short life of our daughter, Victoria Grace, opened a new chapter in our life. God’s victory by His grace has since characterized our family’s journey through brokenness into blessing the “least of these” with the good news of the kingdom of God. Our family’s heart has been transformed by a revelation of God’s justice, and now another chapter is beginning.

We are moving to Pucallpa, Peru to serve as Short-term Missionaries with Kids Alive International, a ministry that rescues orphaned and vulnerable children throughout the world by meeting their spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional needs. When possible, Kids Alive helps children and their families together. Our home will be at the Kids Alive Pucallpa Care Center, where we can be a faithful and pastoral presence to support and equip leaders of the “least of these.”

In carrying out this new assignment, we hope to extend the same hospitality that we receive from the circle of family and friends receiving this letter. Will you imagine how you might join with us in this work? Be encouraged by the Apostle John’s exhortation to send missionaries “on their way in a manner worthy of God,” who go “for the sake of the Name,” thus connecting those sending and going in His mission: “We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth” (3 John 6-8). As you encourage us, you go with us. If you want to support us financially, click on the “Kids Alive Missionaries” under “Cote Family” on this website.

As you think of us now and over time, we deeply appreciate your prayers. Our family’s preparation begins this July at the Center for Intercultural Training in North Carolina. By the end of summer, we hope to begin language school in Arequipa, Peru, before moving to Pucallpa. Our commitment as Short-term Missionaries with Kids Alive lasts up to three years, at which point Kids Alive and our family will discern how to proceed. Please know how grateful we are to God for you and the opportunity He has given us to go and help others!

Together for His justice,

Mark, Kristin, Caleb, Jacob, and Rachel Coté
